Belonging isn’t something we find—it’s something we cultivate within ourselves.

We are the bridge between worlds—rooted in one, growing in another.

Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (#MC61670597) | Based in Washington State

  • I’m so grateful you’re here and I hope to learn more about you and your story :)

I’m a second-generation Vietnamese American born and raised in the state of Washington. I earned my Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing from Seattle University and went on to complete my Master’s in Counseling Psychology at The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology. While in grad school I created Turning Towards, an attachment-based tool as a “passion project” with the aim to aid people in moving people towards more meaningful and fulfilling relationships.

As the daughter of Vietnamese refugees, I carry with me a legacy of resilience, which continues to shape my understanding of survival, healing, and strength. I’m passionate about holding space for the Asian American community and supporting healing that moves us closer to collective liberation. I work part-time for TeachAAPI in their marketing and communications team and developed their Mental Health Toolkit launching across schools nationwide in 2025-2026.

I am truly honored and grateful to be a part of each of my clients' journeys—past, present, and future.

  • As a therapist, I am committed to doing my due diligence personally and professionally through supervision, staying educated and up to date on current research, continuing education, self-care, and my own personal therapy. I hope to create a space that cultivates genuine healing and that starts with my own work.

I acknowledge that my experience comes from the Southeast Asian perspective and is not inclusive of the entire Asian American experience. I am committed to practicing cultural humility and approach each individual with the belief that you are the expert of your own experience and seek to continually educate myself, understand, and validate your lived experience.

There are systemic and hierarchial imbalances in the therapeutic space and I hope to lessen that in our work together. I invite my clients to share any discomfort, pain, or harm that I may have inflicted to repair the relationship. Uncomfortable feelings, topics, and conversations will inevitably show up and we can work together to move towards healing.

    • My ideal day includes taking a walk in nature, reading a book in the park, hanging out with friends, trying new restaurants, and swimming in the lake while soaking up sun.

    • I’m a Myers-Brigg ENFJ, Enneagram 3w2, Leo, and Year of the Dragon.

    • I hope to travel to as many countries as I can — so far I’m at 18, 8 having been solo-travel!

Sound like we would be a good fit? I would love to connect over a free 30 minute consultation where we will discuss goals, compatibility, rates, payment, scheduling, and hopefully steps moving forward!

Let's connect!

My Approach

    • Focuses on the importance of relationships—both past and present—as a path toward healing and growth.

    • I cultivate a strong, safe therapeutic relationship so you feel supported as we explore your patterns and needs.

    • Helps improve communication, build healthier boundaries, and foster deeper, more fulfilling connections.

    • Uncovers unconscious patterns rooted in early experiences that may influence current behavior and emotional responses.

    • Together, we explore how your past impacts your present—bringing insight, clarity, and emotional relief.

    • Supports long-term emotional growth by addressing core beliefs and attachment styles.

    • Acknowledges the impact of trauma on the nervous system and prioritizes emotional safety and choice.

    • I create a nonjudgmental, supportive space where we gently process painful memories at your pace.

    • Helps you build resilience, reduce triggers, and develop coping skills that restore a sense of control.

    • Honors your unique cultural background, values, and lived experiences.

    • I approach therapy with humility, curiosity, and awareness of how race, ethnicity, identity, and systemic oppression shape mental health.

    • Creates a space where you can unpack intergenerational trauma, internalized messages, and cultural expectations with compassion and respect.

    • Person-centered — empathy, unconditional positive regard, and authenticity

    • Multicultural — explore how race, ethnicity, gender, religion, class, and other identities shape your mental health

    • Attachment-based — understand how your attachment patterns affect current relationships

    • Dialectical Behavior (DBT) — regulate emotions, manage distress, improve relationships, and stay grounded in the present moment

    • Emotionally focused — deepen emotional awareness and build secure connections

    • Narrative — explore the stories you tell about yourself

    • Integrative — a personalized therapy experience that fits your unique needs

    • Family systems — explore roles, dynamics, and patterns that originated in your family or community, and how they influence your current relationships and self-perception

    • Somatic — address how stress and trauma are held in the body and support nervous system regulation and healing

Meet Luna

Hi, I’m Luna! I’m a long-haired British mix and I’ve been with Caitlin since 2021. I was originally adopted by her sister during COVID, so naturally, I expect lots of love and attention. You’ll usually find me napping, perched on a windowsill, or seeking out head scratches. I especially love sitting in Caitlin’s lap during sessions—so don’t be surprised if you catch a glimpse of my tail or ears on screen. I can’t wait to (quietly) say hi!

Why Jade Path Counseling?

Jade has long been cherished as a symbol of healing, harmony, and resilience—qualities that mirror the deeply personal journey of transformation.

Like jade, therapy offers strength and serenity. It’s a space to explore, to soften, and to grow—where progress is measured not by perfection, but by presence, self-compassion, and courage. Healing takes time, care, and connection.

Jade is often passed down through generations, carrying stories, meaning, and hope. Let your healing be part of the legacy you create.

Ancestral Homage

My work is an homage to my ancestors—my grandparents and parents, who escaped Vietnam by boat, enduring the open sea and the uncertainty of refugee camps for months before building a new life from nothing. They opened a jewelry store in Seattle, inspiring the name “Jade Path Counseling.” Their sacrifices, resilience, and relentless hard work paved the way for future generations, myself included.

Alongside their strength, I also acknowledge the complexities of our lineage—the unspoken grief, the survival-driven parenting, the intergenerational wounds that shaped us in ways both seen and unseen. Their struggles are not just stories of perseverance but also reminders of the pain and trauma carried forward.

In honoring them, I hold space for both their sacrifices and their imperfections, working toward healing the past while forging a future rooted in understanding, compassion, and liberation.

A deck of therapy or reflection cards titled "Turning Towards" along with some loose cards spread out on a surface. The cards contain prompts related to relationships, shame, reflection, and connection.

Are you satisfied with your relationships? Past relationships? Current relationships? Friends? Family? Coworkers? Are you ready to make a change and start creating the relationships you deserve?

We all have anxious and avoidant tendencies and whether you’re anxious, avoidant, secure, or anxious-avoidant, these are the cards for you.

Turning Towards is a therapeutic tool designed to provide insight and healing to transform your relationships. With 199 thought-provoking prompts, the goal of this attachment theory-based card game is to bring awareness and understanding to your destructive patterns and to start embodying ways that will build lasting and meaningful connections that feel safe and secure.

I’m ready for lasting change

Starting therapy can feel scary, and that’s completely okay. It takes courage to step into the unknown and face what’s been weighing on you. Know that you don’t have to have all the answers or the right words—just showing up is enough. This is a space where you are seen, heard, and supported without judgment. Growth isn’t about perfection; it’s about allowing yourself to be real, to heal, and to move forward at your own pace. You are not alone in this—I’m here to walk alongside you every step of the way.
