Identity Issues Therapist Seattle
AAPI | BIPOC | LGBTQ+ | Gen Z | 1st/2nd/3rd Gen | Immigrant
Supportive, affirming therapy for AAPI, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, and immigrant-background clients navigating race, gender, queerness, and belonging in a world that often doesn't reflect you back. Identity formation is a complex, ongoing process—especially when navigating cultural trauma, systemic oppression, and familial expectations. If you're tired of shrinking yourself to fit in or don't know how to show up authentically, identity therapy can help you unpack the layers and get to the real you.
Identity exploration therapy for young adults in the Greater Seattle Area and Washington State.
What Makes This Different from Other Identity Therapy?
I specialize in working with Gen Z clients navigating intersectional identities—race, culture, gender, sexuality, and generational experiences. We explore the deeper "why" behind your identity issues for lasting change—not just surface-level affirmations—in a space where your full self is honored. I offer online therapy for Gen Z in Washington, making culturally-aware support accessible wherever you are.
Unlike approaches that avoid cultural conversations, I combine:
Cultural Humility: I center your lived experience and don't assume I know your story
Intersectional Understanding: We explore how your identities intersect and influence each other
Psychodynamic Insight: Understanding how family, culture, and systems shaped your identity formation
Authentic Affirmation: This isn't performative allyship. Your identities are central to our work, whether that's AAPI, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, immigrant, or Gen Z experiences

I’m ready for lasting change
Starting therapy can feel scary, and that's completely okay. It takes courage to step into the unknown and face what's been weighing on you. Know that you don't have to have all the answers or the right words—just showing up is enough. This is a space where you are seen, heard, and supported without judgment. Growth isn't about perfection; it's about allowing yourself to be real, to heal, and to move forward at your own pace.
You are not alone in this—I'm here to walk alongside you every step of the way.
-
If you're struggling with questions about who you are, feeling stuck between cultures or expectations, or experiencing distress around your race, gender, sexuality, or cultural identity—therapy can help. You don't need a crisis to start.
-
No. While I have experience with AAPI, BIPOC, LGBTQ+, immigrant, and Gen Z identities, I welcome all clients exploring identity questions in an affirming space.
-
That's a common and painful experience. As an identity issues therapist, I can help you navigate family dynamics, set boundaries, and build chosen family and community support.
-
It varies. Identity exploration is ongoing, but many people find clarity and relief within months. Deeper work around cultural trauma or coming out may take longer. We'll work at your pace.
-
No. My role isn't to define your identity—it's to create space for you to explore, question, and discover what feels authentic to you without pressure or judgment.
-
Yes. I provide affirming support for LGBTQ+ identity exploration, coming out processes, and gender identity questions in a safe, non-judgmental space.
